The PHANTOM TECH HD is one of the most popular boots amongst experienced mountaineers: the ideal choice for high-altitude mountaineering, glacier trekking, waterfall climbing and mixed climbing.
Exceptional lightness, compact dimensions and maximum mobility: the model has been updated with a waterproof zip, a heat-sealed tape that is even more heat-resistant, a gaiter fastening and an improved lace lock. Inside the boots: GAITER provides extra warmth and protection against snow. It is made from SCHOELLER Ecorepel® Bio fabric, which guarantees maximum comfort and repels water.
The fabrics are laminated with a waterproof and breathable HDry membrane to prevent any water from getting in, whilst reducing weight and thickness.
A RECCO reflector is built into the upper section so that you can be found more easily in the event of an accident. There is a trouser hook at the bottom of the YKK8 water-repellent zip. The fingertips are fitted with rubber protection.
Outer shell: Shell Tech HD – made from a water-repellent micro-technical fabric that is waterproof and offers high abrasion resistance. In terms of insulation, the Phantom HD model features: PRIMALOFT® Gold Insulation with Grip Control (100% recycled synthetic insulation).
Non-slip grip ensures a secure and stable grip when wearing high-quality footwear. Microfibre is combined with a PVC structure to create a special active EXOSKELETON, which provides better protection, support and foot stabilisation, whilst also integrating a lacing system.
The Ortholite O-Therm insole provides maximum thermal insulation.
Fastening:
External fastening: The YKK zip, which runs along the gaiter, is waterproof and airtight, whilst the lace loop is specially designed to be easy to use even when wearing gloves. The fastening at the top of the boot is adjustable via an internal drawcord, which prevents snow from getting inside.
Internal fastening: features the ‘Fast Lock’ system, which allows you to adjust the two tightening zones independently to fit the boot. ‘Fast Strap Velcro’ simplifies the fastening and unfastening of the internal fastening, ensuring maximum adjustability and support.
Sole: The ‘Dynamic Tech Roll System’ is an innovative upper and sole construction system that ensures an optimal ergonomic fit and maximum comfort when walking. The precise ‘Tech Roll AC/D’ system, which reduces fatigue whilst walking, features a ‘Vibram® Durastep’ rubber sole. A reliable and durable material that provides optimum grip on wet surfaces and performs very well even at low temperatures. Compatible with automatic crampons.
