Thin and soft merino wool with fibres between 65 and 100 mm in length, excellent moisture retention (hydrophilic) and allows air to circulate. The very small fibre diameter creates a feeling of softness and comfort. Merino wool has the ability to naturally regulate temperature: it keeps your feet warm in winter and cool in summer. Merino wool keeps you warm throughout the day, wicking moisture away from your feet and keeping them dry.
The knitted fabric provides a high degree of cushioning, padding and protection throughout the sock, preventing discomfort caused by the lining or insole of the shoe.
The flat seam on the toe does not cause friction or irritation.
Lycra® is a flexible synthetic fibre that can stretch up to 6 times and return to its original shape. The strategic placement of this material in Lorpen socks ensures they last a long time and maintain their appearance.
Red-Cycled Nylon is made from 100% used fishing nets, which instead of becoming a hazard and waste in the ocean, become new products. The fibre has high abrasion resistance.
Primaloft® Eco yarn is made from ultra-fine polyester fibres that are finer than cashmere, providing softness and unrivalled moisture management. The polyester yarn developed by Primaloft® is the world leader in synthetic insulation for technical clothing. Soft, heat-retaining, hydrophobic fibre wicks away moisture without absorbing it.
