The Fire-Maple flint cannot be compared to a lighter that always runs out of gas or a wet match.
The flint allows you to easily start a fire in any weather at any altitude. It produces sparks at a temperature of 300*C and has a lifetime of between 5000 and 12000 sparks.
Under normal conditions, this flint can be lit with one or two sparks.
With skilful handling, the flint can last up to 32 years, even with everyday use.
The flint rod is made of ferrocerium (an alloy of 7 rare earth metals), the handle is stainless steel.
The diameter of the flint rod is 8 mm.
